Who to Follow for NYFW Coverage
During previous New York Fashion Weeks I’ve been practically handcuffed to my computer all day, every day, watching every single show and attempting to catch every moment of social media coverage. This year, I do not have that luxury. Everything is falling during NYFW: freelance projects, workshops, styling photo shoots, travel, and some big happenings on this blog. On top of that I’m bogged down with a cold. So, for this NYFW I’m relying on some key sources to stay up to date on the fashion action. Thus far I’ve discovered four that have been particularly helpful to keep me caught up on Day 1 and 2. If I discover any other NYFW gems along the way, perhaps you’ll see a follow up post, but for now, here’s who to follow for NYFW coverage!
FOR FULL SHOWS:
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week
For a livestream or replay of full runway shows from NYFW, turn to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. They broadcast and rebroadcast nearly 100 of the NYFW runways on their website and YouTube channel respectively. If you follow along on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, you can catch clips from the shows from standout looks to celebrity attendees.
FOR HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS OF INDIVIDUAL LOOKS:
Style.com
For high quality photos of each and every look from a particular designer’s collection, head to Style.com. Their user-friendly site is easy to navigate, sort by designer, and get an in-depth look at a full collection. Style.com is also a great place to view those smaller or more private shows and presentations that don’t offer livestreams and are more difficult to find on social media and other platforms.
FOR AN EXCLUSIVE LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES:
The Wall Group

1. Makeup artist Lauren Andersen for Nicholas K Studio
2. Desigual backstage
3. Manicurist Alicia Torello for Creatures of Comfort
For exclusive behind the scenes action, follow The Wall Group on Twitter and Instagram. Gain insight into the beauty behind NYFW from makeup to manicures or peek at the models prepping backstage before the catwalk. The Wall Group is sharing an insider look at NYFW.
FOR A REAL-GIRL PERSPECTIVE:
GaBrielle Pedriani of Look Sharp, Sconnie
For a taste of NYFW from a real girl perspective, check out Gabby of Look Sharp, Sconnie. Gabby is a fellow blogger serving as a NYFW Community Correspondent for Polyvore. Using the Polyvore platform, she’s creating boards inspired by the shows and presentations she attends, showing how to attain the looks from the runway.
