Megan Biram has been blogging since 2007, and in 2011 she decided to turn her blog into a business. Now, she’s taking the next step by evolving her blog into an online shop. In addition to fashion accessories, her site carries a variety of home, beauty, office, travel, and art products, all of which are personal to her. As this new avenue of her business grows, she hopes to collaborate with brands for exclusive products for the shop.

The Other Fashion Magazines

V Magazine Fall 2013, Dazed and Confused October 2013, and Interview October 2013

When you head to the newsstand to get your fashion fix, what magazine do you go for? InStyle? ELLE? Vogue? But what about the other fashion magazines: indie fashion magazines. Because these publications don’t rely on the on the major advertising sponsorship of popular fashion magazines like Harper’s Baazar, they’re typically a little more pricey and released less frequently. In my opinion, if you’re a true fashion lover like I am, these periodicals are worth the investment. Here are a few of my faves that are still at a reasonable price point: 1. V Magazine ($9) is the ultimate guide by fashion insiders. This magazine is published quarterly, and each issue gives you a decent does of pop culture meets fashion. 2. Interview ($9) is a magazine founded in 1969 by famed artist Andy Warhol. The publication is released monthly and reflects the iconic artist by combining cutting edge pop culture with fashion fusion. 3. Dazed and Confused is a London-based periodical that explores current culture with dash of fashion. This magazine is also published monthly and is best for the fashionista who’s looking for a perspective from across the pond. Not sure if you’re ready to stray from your old standbys? I suggest following these publication on Twitter to get a taste of their tone and content!
